Addy's getting big fast! See the latest pics by clicking here.
Addy's been doing great. She's starting to smile and laugh a lot more, so we're having so much fun. She did get her first little cold and sore throat, but she's getting over that fast.
She just hit the 2 month mark on Thursday... Time is flying by! We've almost narrowed it down to her top 3 colleges (just kidding of course)...
We received a great report from the pediatrician on Monday. Addy had lost about 5 oz while in the hospital (this is normal for newborns). In 2 days, Mom got Addy not only back to birth weight, but 1 oz over her birth weight, they said this usually takes 2 weeks to accomplish! Way to go Addy and Mommy!
Everyone is doing great! I absolutely love being a dad!
Addyson Grace has arrived!
Born on:2-14-2010 Weight:6 lbs 13 oz Time:9:20am Length:19 in in
Addy and Mom are doing great! Addy arrived pretty quickly and without any problems. And, she's a little over a week before her due date. (Diana is thrilled with that).
We've made it into April, the month that Addy is due. Diana would say she's been pregnant forever. If you think about it, she's been pregnant about 225 days or so. Addy is still very active, and she's getting really big (as seen in the Ultrasound Image below).
We're getting really excited as our little girl gets ready to be born into the world. Thanks for all your prayers, shower gifts, and interaction on our website, it's been so much fun! I'll be archiving everything on the site so we can show Addy in years to come (when the Internet isn't cutting edge anymore or becomes like a cassette tape is...)
This is our latest sonogram, everything is on track (measurments/size). The current weight estimate by the machine is 6lbs and 1oz (this is with a +- 1lb accuracy).

The big day is coming soon... Addy is getting really big (which means Diana's womb is quite the size now)! But we're getting excited, nervous, anxious, and all kinds of emotions as the due date approaches.
A big thanks to everyone who came to one of our showers or sent a gift! You've all blessed us with many baby gifts, outfits, ointments, and so on... Thank you!
Addy says thank you as well for her gifts she will soon enjoy. You may ask, "How did she say thank you?" She said thanks with a nice swift kick inside the womb!
We've already finished our breastfeeding class and our childbirth education classes. Two more classes to go, car seat safety and the "Mommy and Me" class.

We had our last "getaway" before Addy comes! We went down to Florida on a work trip I had and stayed a few extra days. It was a lot warmer there than it was back home in Bloomington.
Diana has been feeling the baby move a lot, the movements have felt like "butterflies or fluttering..." She's been feeling these slight movements since week 16 (it's week 19 now). However, I (Josh) had my hand over Diana's tummy and felt a little kick on November 30th, the day of the terrible ice/snow storm here in Bloomington, and our power was actually out at the time. It was so exciting to feel our child moving... The kicks and movements are only getting stronger and more frequent now...
We also got our new baby furniture moved in. We had to pick it up in Springfiled at Babies R Us. Special thanks to the Nelson family for letting us borrow their van and to Diana's folks for following us down in their van to pick it all up! And to Evan and his buddies for helping us get it out of the vans and upstairs.

Everything is looking good... Click the play button below to listen to the heartbeat, beating around 152bpm. The baby measured 13cm today. How exciting!
Received a good report from the ECHO, no heart issues. They did record a heart rate of 140bpm during the 24 hour monitor which is considered a bit high, so they are trying to figure out what they should do. But thanks for your prayers for this. We both feel better that we've had the tests done. We also know that God's protection was and is around Diana's heart as we've prayed and continue to pray...
We went to see a Cardiologist today because Diana's heart rate has been elevated and she's been feeling a lot of "fluttering" in her chest. So, be praying as we wait to see some test results back. Heart murmurs are common among pregnant women.
The baby is now easily recognizable on the ultrasound! We can see the hands, the feet, even the brain as the skull has not completely hardened yet, so you can see through it to the brain via the ultrasound.
Diana is feeling much better now as the morning sickness is fading. She feels like a new woman now as she has energy and her appetite back.
Our baby is now 23.3mm big! He/She is now much more identifiable on the ultrasounds. The most amazing thing was how the baby was constantly moving the hands and feet, which our doctor said was normal, as the nerves/muscles develop, this was incredible to see!
Diana has still been feeling sick everyday and she hasn't had much of an appetite, so pray that she continues to have strength through her days. Our doctor said this should continue to lighten up and go away for the most part in the next 3 weeks or so. Keep praying!
The hearbeat has began to beat. It cannot be heard yet, but it can be seen pulsating in the first Ultrasound below. The baby went from about 2mm to 6mm in length in one week!

Last time we were never able to see the baby on the ultrasound. We did this time and the doctor said our child was about the size of a grain of rice, but in a week he or she would more than double in size, and the heart would begin to beat! This is amazing!
We can see our little one in the ultrasound, so small, the size of a grain of rice. All is looking good, levels, etc. Diana is starting to feel sick daily...

We're super excited as Diana is pregnant again! Please be praying as we trust God for our new child's health and growth. We're a bit nervous as our first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage which was the hardest thing we've gone through. As we don't understand why, we know that God is our sufficiency and the giver of life.
